Science
(from the Latin scientia,
meaning 'knowledge'
or 'knowing') is the effort to discover and increase human understanding
of how physical reality works. Technology
is changing so fast.
In the blink of an eye devices
we were just beginning to master
have become obsolete. The Internet, cellphones, weapons and related technologies
touch all of our lives
whether we approve of their use or not. I try to give you a snapshot
of what is going on in our world
regarding these 'technologies'.
Unfortunately, much of this technology
has been weaponized
by various governments and agencies. This website includes news and features,
engaging headlines, fascinating
stories and amazing facts, delivered through the latest news slots, in-depth articles,
video, and commenting. We explain why a development is significant as well as
putting social
and cultural context around it, delivering more insight than any other current
affairs or science source.
Technology is shaping how wars are fought, borders are protected, crooks are caught,
and individual rights are defined.
The Internet is a global
system of interconnected computer networks
that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users
worldwide. It is a network of networks
that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business,
and government networks, of local to global scope,
that are linked by a broad
array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The Internet
carries a vast range
of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents
of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support email. Social media
tools
are undeniably changing the way that people communicate
and share information. A small but increasing number of scientists are starting
to use these tools to talk about science: writing blog posts about their
work, papers they have read and the activities in their laboratories, or using
Twitter to collect and share stories and resources with like-minded colleagues.
It would be impossible to present information on all of the gadgets,
gizmos and systems
out there; however, what we have discovered and would like to share with you will
cause 'shock
and awe'.
Alternative Science
There are many career paths for a scientist
in addition to the traditional tenure track, and the goal of this website is to
provide a information for open and honest discussions about the various possibilities.
The only way we will ever see these advanced
technologies used in our everyday lives is by freely sharing
our ideas and discoveries. To achieve
that end, we collect and correlate information from many sources
which provide insights and direction toward making these goals a reality.
We try to use the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) approach, after all, this is
a content based website intended to inspire,
evoke thought and induce people to question
what they are told about science,
physics and the nature of
our reality.
Health Science
Undergroundnation.ca examines science
in pursuit of fundamental
knowledge about the nature
and behavior of living
systems and the application of that knowledge
to extend healthy life and
reduce the burdens of illness
and disability. One example, the groundbreaking
work of an international team
of surgeons and scientists,
including the University of New Brunswick's Kevin
Englehart, a new generation of artificial limbs
that restores the body's
intuitive communication is on the horizon. The health sciences
are concerned with the development of knowledge and programs related to health
and well
being. This field encompasses many disciplines. Some focus on identifying practices
that directly improve patient health. Others focus on the physical activity, biological,
behavioral and sociocultural mechanisms and processes that affect health status
and aging. Health science is also concerned with the study of leisure and cultural
phenomena within their related environments and in the context of opportunities
and practices integral to the well being of groups and individuals.
Science
Scientific method is a body of techniques for investigating phenomena
and acquiring new knowledge, as well as for correcting and integrating previous
knowledge. It is based on observable, empirical, measurable evidence, and subject
to laws of reasoning. All this evidence is collectively called scientific evidence.
Undergroundnation.ca acts as an advocate for science,
as a platform
for sharing ideas and standard
setting, and promotes dialogue between scientists
and policy makers. It empowers
and catalyses innovative
initiatives in the field of international cooperation in science,
in particular through networks and capacity building activities.
Undergroundnation.ca
is a website with a passion for science!
We aim to share our enthusiasm for science
by offering a selection of inspirational
and educational experiences that are tailor-made for public.
Technology
Since the formulation of the scientific method in the 15th century,
technological progress
has apparently been accelerating. Technology
is a broad concept that refers to use and knowledge of tools and crafts, and how
these tools and crafts affect our ability to control and adapt to the environment.
In human society today, technology
is a result of science and engineering. A specific definition for the word "technology"
is difficult to determine, because "technology" can refer to material objects
of use to humanity, such as machines, hardware or utensils, but can also encompass
broader themes, including systems, methods of organization, and techniques. Technological
development continues strongly today, fueled by the multibillion-dollar economies
of the world’s most prosperous nations. Our mission is to deliver cutting edge
information on computer
technology and the tech
industry as we see it happen. From daily tech news
coverage to our links to in-depth
product reviews, buying guides, downloads, updates,
and hundreds of system optimization
tips offered on in our 'PC Tools' section. Technology is a body of knowledge used
to create tools, develop skills, and extract or collect materials. It is also
the application of science (the combination of the scientific method and material)
to meet an objective or solve a problem.
Today more and more people’s
jobs depend on the Web. Media, banking and health care are being revolutionized
by it. And governments are even considering how to run their countries with it.
Little appreciated, however, is the fact that the Web is more than the sum of
its pages. Vast emergent properties have arisen that are transforming society.
For example, the Internet
is not about to grind to a halt, but as more and more users clamber aboard to
download music, video
clips and games
while communicating incessantly
by e-mail, chat and instant messaging, the information superhighway
sometimes crawls with bumper-to-bumper traffic. Fiber
optics and the 'net' are strained under the load, one invention
that may increase throughput rates is Zblan
technology.
Weapons
In the United States, weather-modification
will likely become a part of national security
policy with both domestic and international applications.
Our government will pursue such a policy, depending on its interests, at various
levels.
A
new technology HULC
is a completely un-tethered, hydraulic-powered anthropomorphic exoskeleton
that provides users with the ability to carry loads of up to 200 lbs for extended
periods of time and over all terrain. Its flexible
design allows for deep squats, crawls and upper-body lifting. There is no joystick
or other control mechanism. The exoskeleton senses what users want to do and where
they want to go.
We highlight worldwide defense programs,
including land, air, naval, C4ISR, intelligence, and net-centric warfare,
infantry warfighting tactics
and techniques, homeland defense etc.
Just recently, the Bush administration is pushing through a broad array
of foreign weapons deals as it seeks to rearm Iraq and Afghanistan, contain North
Korea and Iran, and solidify ties with onetime Russian allies. The scary
development is invisible,
focused 'laser' power. Be it fired from a satellite
or the active denial weapon
, this new
technology has removed blunt force trauma from the equation. No need for bullets,
tank shells, missiles, cruise missiles to smash, then rip into a structure and
then detonate. No it's very different, now we could be jogging in a park, me no
more than a meter away, when all of a sudden I just turn to carbon and scatter
into the wind.
You are bewildered due to the quiet and the lack of any noise, bang, whizz or
pop.
We present the latest techno gadgets,
PC and Internet
technology, new weapons
technology and more...
